RECENSIONE  di Francesca Ghiribelli Un libro particolare per la sua natura dialettale, visto che oggi si pubblicano sempre meno volumi che riportano dialetti italiani. La sua particolarità sta nel fatto di riuscire a introdurre ogni capitolo con una poesia in dialetto siciliano e in italiano, è una peculiarità simpatica e che risulta d’impatto al lettore per la sua natura breve. Un modo per farlo riavvicinare ai dialetti italiani in una storia che si divide fra racconto, poesia e romanzo. Altra suggestiva caratteristica sono le illustrazioni nitide e dinamiche inserite nel corso della narrazione. “Lu Bummularu racconta Selinos” ha un’ambientazione nel felice periodo dell’antica Grecia nel 628 a.C. a Selinunte. Protagonista della storia è un oggetto realizzato da un giovane artigiano di nome Obelius. Un oggetto tramandato fino agli anni Sessanta. Questa storia comincia nella primavera del 628 A.C. Aprile sta iniziando e porta con sé un cielo soleggiato e un mare limpido dai colori che variano dal verde smeraldo all'azzurro. È quel tipo di temperatura che mette allegria a tutti, fa sentire tutti bene nel fisico e nell'anima e che fa presagire un buon viaggio. Mentre mia madre prepara tutto l'occorrente per il viaggio, io Obelius sono disteso a terra che guardo una conchiglia che avevo trovato in spiaggia il giorno prima. In cuor mio spero che la nuova colonia sorga vicino al mare, per ammirarne i colori e in lontananza godere della campagna e assaporarne i sapori. La mia famiglia, mio padre, mia madre ed io, ci trasferiamo con un po' di nostalgia naturalmente da Megara Nisea. Stiamo lasciando la nostra polis con il suo splendido mare e un clima caldo. Prefazione La Sicilia è stata fatta grande con piccole e grandicose da tutte le popolazioni che la conquistarono perché,trovandosi al centro del Mediterraneo, era terra di approdo e di scambio commerciale. Romani,Greci, Arabi, Normanni,Svevi,Aragonesi e poi Spagnoli e Borboni. Soltanto con gli Angioini i Siciliani si sono ribellati e, con la rivolta dei "Vespri", sono stati sconfitti e cacciati per farvi ritornare gli Aragonesi. Garibaldi, che si dice eroe dei due mondi, sbarcò in Sicilia per unificare il regno delle Due Sicilie al regno d'Italia. Il racconto "lu Bummularu” che mi accingo a scrivere è ambientato durante il glorioso periodo greco a Selinunte e racconta di una piccola cosa che è rimasta in uso fino agli anni ‘60. Ogni famiglia lo usava durante la vendemmia, la raccolta delle olive e per tutte quelle volte che si andava in campagna a lavorare o per divertimento. Tutti conosciamo le grandi cose che hanno fatto i Greci in Sicilia, ma non tutti sanno cos&
